Feria Artesanal del Uritorco is the classic artisan stroll of Capilla del Monte and one of the most recognized in the Valle de Punilla. It takes place in Plaza San Martín, right in the center of town, where over a hundred local artisans display and sell their creations. Visitors find an enormous variety: textiles, leather goods, ceramics, jewelry, carved wood pieces, glass items and natural cosmetics, all handmade. Beyond shopping, the fair offers options for the whole family, with live music, folk dances and artisan workshops for kids and adults. It's an ideal outing to enjoy at sunset, to learn about the work of mountain artisans and take home an authentic souvenir of Capilla del Monte. Admission is free.

A bit of history
The fair has been running continuously for more than three decades in Capilla del Monte and is considered one of the most beautiful and complete artisan fairs in the Valle de Punilla. Over the years, it has become a meeting point between local artisans and the thousands of tourists who arrive each season at the foot of Cerro Uritorco, becoming part of the town's cultural and tourist identity.

The best way to enjoy it is at sunset, when the square lights up and the shows start. Arrive early if you want to browse all the offerings quietly and bring cash, because many stalls don't accept cards.

0.3 km from downtown Capilla del Monte. 5 minutes on foot.
The fair is set up in Plaza San Martín, which is the main square of Capilla del Monte and is practically in the very center of the town, a few blocks from the main access to the city. The square is bounded by Hipólito Yrigoyen, Rivadavia, Sarmiento, and Mitre streets. You can reach it on foot from the downtown area in a few minutes.
