What to do in Capilla del Monte when it rains
Rain rules out the mountain, the reservoirs and the river spots — which is most of what brings people here. But downtown has three indoor places within a kilometre of each other, so you can fill a day on foot without getting too wet.
The stops
- 1
La Techada
Downtown 30 minutes to 1 hour to walk through it and visit the shopsA covered pedestrian street, so you can walk all of it without an umbrella. It is the town’s shopping strip: coffee and errands sorted here.

If the rain eases off, the rest of the town walks are all under a kilometre away. And check the mountain status before heading up: entry usually closes in the rain.
Distances are calculated from each place’s coordinates and durations come from its own page, so they stay up to date on their own.
