A guide made with love for Capilla
Viví Capilla is an independent guide to Capilla del Monte. It is not the tourist office and it does not belong to the municipality: it is made by people who live here and want you to enjoy the town the way we do.
Everything you need for a good trip
What to do
Mountains, rivers, swimming spots, caves and lookouts, with photos, directions and honest tips.
→Where to stay and eat
Lodgings, restaurants and guides with direct contact, no middlemen.
→Events
What is on in Capilla this week: fairs, concerts, hikes, festivals.
→The sky
Moon, sunrise and sunset, the Starlight sky and where to watch the stars.
→Three things we do not compromise on
Living, verified information
Opening hours, prices and phone numbers are checked by hand and we say when they were verified. If something has changed, let us know and we will fix it.
Direct contact, no commissions
Every listing takes you to the provider's WhatsApp or phone. We charge no commission and do not broker bookings: the deal is between you and them.
Respect for the place
Capilla is a mountain town, not a theme park. Take your rubbish with you, respect the mountain's hours, light no fires and look after the water. Leave no trace.
The alien guide who answers on WhatsApp
URI is an artificial-intelligence assistant with the personality of a visitor from another planet who fell in love with Capilla. It answers 24 hours a day on WhatsApp: bus times, what to do when it rains, where to eat on a Sunday night, how much it costs to climb Uritorco.
What URI is
- An unofficial guide, free and available 24/7.
- A quick way to find lodging, restaurants and tours with direct contact.
- A travel companion who knows the town and speaks your language.
What URI is not
- It does not replace the tourist office or the emergency services.
- It can make mistakes: it is an AI and works with information that may be out of date.
- It does not make bookings or charge anything. Confirm prices and hours directly with each provider.
