The Municipal Camping Park of Capilla del Monte, also known as Eco Camping Calabalumba, is an organized campsite located on the banks of the Calabalumba River, right next to the municipal swimming area with mountain spring water. It is surrounded by old trees that provide good shade and fresh air, ideal for resting in the heart of the Punilla Valley. It offers tent plots, sleeping cabins with bunk beds for four people, and cabins for six with kitchen and private bathroom. Services include hot water, barbecue grills, tables with benches, parking, a general store, laundry facilities, separate restrooms, electrical outlets, and medical assistance. It is pet friendly and just a few blocks from the center and about two kilometers from Cerro Uritorco, making it a comfortable and affordable base for exploring the area.

Its park features trees over forty years old. More recently, it has been managed under the name Eco Camping Calabalumba, with an environmental care focus that includes green points for separate waste collection and natural pools without chemical additives.

The use of sound equipment that disturbs the peace of the grounds is prohibited. Due to its proximity to the center and Uritorco, it's a great base for day hikes to the hills.

How to get to Parque Camping Municipal

0.6 km from downtown Capilla del Monte. 5 to 10 minutes on foot.

From the center of Capilla del Monte, taking Calle Techada (covered pedestrian street) as a reference, walk about five to six blocks towards the balneario and Cerro Uritorco until reaching the grounds, located on the Calabalumba river area. You can get there on foot in a few minutes or by car.
